This specific set includes one coin from the Philadelphia Mint and one from the Denver Mint. About Bicentennial Half Dollars Dual Date: Minted in 1975 and 1976 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the United States, all of these coins bear the special dual-date 1776–1976 on the front. Special Reverse Design: The back of these coins features Independence Hall in Philadelphia, replacing the standard presidential seal design used in other years. Mintmarks to Verify Philadelphia Mint (Left): This coin will have no letter (or a very rare faint mark) near the neckline above the date, as Philadelphia did not use a "P" mintmark on half dollars in 1976. Denver Mint (Right): You will see a small "D" stamped on the front side just above the dual-date, confirming it was struck in Colorado.
