Why "Never Released for Circulation"? Starting in 2002, the U.S. Mint stopped producing Kennedy Half Dollars for general bank circulation due to low public demand. Instead, they only minted them in smaller quantities specifically for collectors, sold directly through official Mint sets, rolls, and bags. Because they weren't distributed to banks, finding a 2010 half dollar in regular pocket change is highly uncommon. Collector Value Elements Condition: Because these coins were pulled directly from official mint bags or rolls to put into this display, they should remain in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. Mintmarks: Look for the small "P" or "D" stamped right above the date on the front side to confirm you have both mint variations.
